1979
Herbert Winkel starts the company as a locksmith's shop in the city center of Freigericht Somborn
1983
The company is certified as a welding shop for pressure vessels in accordance with AD HP-0 standards
1990
The company leases additional production facilities in nearby Altenmittlau
1997
The company relocates to the new "Wehrweide" enterprise zone in Freigericht Somborn. New production facilities with an adjacent office building are built on an area of 27,000 square feet
2001
The company establishes its own Design Engineering Department and starts drafting 2D drawings on its own
2007
Tino Winkel, the 2nd generation in the Winkel family to work for the company, joins the business as Head of Design Engineering
2009
The Design Engineering Department undergoes an expansion process. Two new staff members are hired. New design software for pressure vessels enables the department to design vessels by itself.
2012
Employee parking is expanded, opening up much-needed space in the external storage area.
The Design Engineering Department starts providing 3D design engineering services with Autodesk Inventor
2013
Tino Winkel is announced to Managing Director. Continous investments in engineering capacity (4 work places with 3D CAD Inventor, new software for ASME and FEA calculations) A GTAW circular welding robot is added to the company's production equipment.
Approx. 20 staff members generate annual revenue of 2.4 million euros
